The Program Description

The last official version of Outlook Express marked as 6.0 has been included in Windows XP. This program is a modified version of the famous e-mail client and the company behind it is RunAsXP. Thanks to these guys, you will be able to receive and send e-mails in a simple and classic way.

With the advent of Windows Vista, it turned out that Outlook Express 6 was replaced by Windows Live Mail (although the early builds of Vista included Outlook Express 7).

As a result, users of newer versions of Windows who were used to the old program were a bit disappointed. And they could not use their old favorite program because of compatibility issues related to a certain system DLL library.

This led to the fact that Outlook Express can now be used on Windows 7 and newer systems.

  • the ability to receive and send e-mails,
  • easy to use, intuitive interface,
  • the ability to download messages from discussion groups,

  • compatibility with many operating systems.

The program, as the name implies, works on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 operating systems.

The application offers all the features that we know from Outlook Express 6, because it is, in fact, the same program. Among its many options you will find, for example, the capability to  set your own signature, subdivision of messages into threads, or integration with the Windows context menu. The latter means that you can easily attach to your e-mail message the files on the desktop or in folders using the “Send to” option.

The important thing is that the application does not have large system requirements, and that means that it will also work on slow computers without any problems. At the same time, it offers many features that are related to reading messages, creating emails, sending and managing them.

The program, just like the original, also offers many language versions.

Outlook Express also allows you to import and export old or existing e-mails. In addition, you can use the e-mail address book directly using the shortcut on your desktop without running the program.
