Garena Free Fire also called Free Fire Battlegrounds is a downloadable mobile game released by the popular production company Garena. It is a third-person shooter and strategy game where all the action takes place on a single map. Released in 2017, the aim of the game is to be the last man standing by killing all the player’s opponents in the map. This is done by collecting different resources such as weapons and items of defense and shooting down the others until the player is the last one to survive.

The Game Review
There are two main maps to choose from, namely, Bermuda and Purgatory. Both the maps are very large in size and mostly consist of buildings in small towns that are spread throughout the map. This enables as much as 50 players to connect and play together against each other in the form of a battle royale.
The game begins as all the players parachute off a moving plain onto the map. Since the map is huge, the players have the option to land in different areas or towns inside the map. Each player then collects resources which includes a variety of weapons such as shotguns, machine guns, pistols, SMG’s and snipers.
In addition, different items can also be worn to increase the overall defense of the player such as helmets, vests and medical kits. All the resources come in varying levels, with each increasing level being more effective than the previous one.
The players then carefully devise a strategy and plan accordingly to proceed further and eliminate the rest of the players. It is also important to note here that all the players must remain within the boundaries of the safe zone. The safe zone is radius where players can roam freely. The safe zone keeps shrinking over time which basically reduces the map size as the game proceeds.
The players use their guns effectively according to their positions and shoot their enemies down. For example, an enemy at long range can be shot down using a sniper or a scope attached to their guns. On the other end, they also have to make sure that they don’t end up losing their own health and so to prevent that, medical kits can be used to regenerate health along with safety vests and helmets can be worn to reduce the damage taken by a player. Lastly, the last man or group standing wins the game which earns them experience and rewards.
Garena Free Fire overall has the exact same structure as another popular game known as Fortnite. Both the games have striking similarities when it comes to gameplay and the overall layout. However, some of the major differences between them include how Fortnite has better graphics and how it gives the players more opportunities of being creative by giving them the option to build walls using the resources they collect.
All in all, Garena Free Fire is an addictive fun game which enables the players to brainstorm and come up with different strategies in order to become the last man standing.
