The Outline of the Story
The film is a continuation of the well-known movie from 2009. It picks up where the original left off. This does not mean, however, that if you have not seen the first movie, it will be difficult to follow the sequel. The film begins with a quick summary of the events that took place earlier. That is why the viewer is quickly and painlessly drawn into a completely new adventure.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 is directed not only at children but also at their parents and even their grandparents. The movie tells a story about a brave, young man (his name is Flint) who is an inventor. He receives a great job offer from a company that was created by his idol. Unfortunately, the main character is not aware that his guru is in fact quite evil
Flint learns that his long-forgotten invention, which he created many years ago, turning water into food, is still working. It turns out, however, that the machine is not working one hundred percent correctly. It started to produce strange creatures – an unnerving combination of food and wild, untamed animals.
The Animation and the Music
It is safe to say that the creators of the film were inspired by the Japanese art of animation. Why? Well, the viewer can see many colors, and exaggerated gestures and expressions of the characters, which are typical for Japanese productions. This makes the children literally devour the movie. The most popular characters that have the most fans are considered to be: Flint’s orangutan assistant Nar Barb also the charming strawberry Berry.
The musical score for the film was composed by the American multi-instrumentalist Mark Mothersbaugh, while the well-known Australian singer Cody Simpson performed the song La Da Dee, which is played during the closing credits of the film.
