Crocodile Dundee is one of those movies that is impossible not to have a good time with. This is an absolute 80s classic and it is crazy how well this did at the box office back in 86. It is one of those movies that is just so perfectly 80s and that is a huge part of its charm, but I think there is fun to be had for younger people who did not grow up in this decade as I got my son to watch this and he loved it.

The Movie Review
I will say that the sequel is not quite as good and I would rather not talk about the third entry in the series at all if I am being honest with you. However, this movie is great and I had a blast watching it again recently. It made me appreciate Crocodile Dundee II a bit more too, granted it is not as good as this one, but it was actually better than I remembered it being.
The Legendary Mick Dundee
Enough about the franchise, let’s get stuck into the original Crocodile Dundee. The plot has reporter, Sue Charlton head to the Australian outback to interview a man called Mick Dundee, better known as Crocodile Dundee. Mick is a living legend and the story is that a crocodile bit his leg off and he managed to crawl to safety, he is the perfect guy to write an exciting story on.
However, Sue realizes that the story she heard of Mick has been exaggerated and he is not missing a leg at all. She thinks that it is a bust, but as they travel the outback, she sees him do more and more amazing things. Plus, Mick has a very charming personality where he may be rough on the outside and not exactly a master of social graces, but you can tell he has a big heart and does what he believes is right.
Mick Dundee Takes on New York
After they go on an adventure in the outback, Sue tells Mick that her newspaper will pay for him to come to New York so they can finish the story there. Seeing Mick in New York as he tries to make sense of it all is hilarious stuff. Look, you know where the relationship between Sue and Mick is going a mile away, but that does not make it any less charming and it is the kind of movie where you will always have a smile on your face as the credits start to roll.
What more can I say about Crocodile Dundee? This is just a super fun movie and something that is great if you need cheering up or just want to have some fun watching a movie. Paul Hogan is just so charming as Mick and the chemistry he has with Linda Kozlowski is off the charts and a huge part of the appeal of the movie. If you are looking for a fun blast from the 80s that has fun, action, romance, and more, Crocodile Dundee is a movie that is hard to beat!
