Has it really been over 20 years since Jackass first came into our lives? I was the perfect age when this started as I was a teenager, but man, does watching Jackass Forever make me feel old. Not in a bad way, but the much older-looking cast really was a reminder that none of us are getting any younger.

The Movie Review
If you like the Jackass franchise, you will like Jackass Forever, it is that simple. It serves as a loving and hilariously dangerous tribute to this group of friends that have provided us with so much laughter over the years. Seeing the majority of the gang (more on this in a little bit) back pulling off all kinds of crazy and dumb stunts made me feel like I was a teenager again.
One thing I will say is that Jackass Forever has going for it over the previous movies and the TV show is polished. The layout of the stunts, the camera work, and the way it moves from one to the next is much smoother and more, dare I say professional this time around. It makes for a slicker experience and little touches like the way the camera will stay on the cast laughing for just a bit longer goes a long way to making you enjoy it even more.
As the movie is still really fresh in my mind, I do not think that I could pick a favorite stunt from it just yet. However, the ice cream van stunt and the spider in the helmet were two that had me laughing so hard I had to put down my soda. There is really not a bad stunt or skit in the entire show and by the time the credits rolled, I was ready to watch it all over again.
Seeing guys, I grew up watching back again was so much fun, especially how they all are embracing that they are older. However, the lack of Bam Margera and the CKY crew, in general, is an issue for me. Bam was one of my favorites and I had just as much fun watching the CKY DVDs in the early 00s as I did watching Jackass.
Look, the guy is a mess and I understand why Paramount fired him from the production. However, anyone who grew up watching this show is going to miss not just Bam’s involvement, but the rest of the CKY crew too. There are little cameos, but it is not enough.
There are some new cast members here and I have mixed feelings about that. The celebrities and new cast members do fit in well, but at the same time I feel like they are there so if they decide to reboot Jackass, they now have a cast ready to go. That could be me just being cynical and at the end of the day, it was still hilarious, but that is how I felt about it.
The Bottom Line
Overall, Jackass Forever is an absolute hoot. The stunts are great, but it is the comradery and the cast that really make this fun and somewhat moving too if I am being honest. Apart from the lack of the CKY guys, I really cannot think of a better way to bring this epic series to a close.
