The whole story of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair is kind of awesome. What started out as one big long movie was turned into two movies, and then 20 years later, it was put back as one movie! If I had to rank Quintin Tarantino’s movies before this was released, I would have said that Kill Bill 1 and 2 were my joint favorite movies of his, finding it near impossible to pick a favorite part.
Where to Watch Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair
Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair was released on December 5, 2025. As of the time of writing it is not available to watch on streaming platforms.
The Movie Review
Well, thanks to Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, I no longer have to do that, as I can say this is my favorite. This was a real experience in the theatre for me, up there as one of the best I had in a long time. I went to see this by myself. I had a ton of snacks, two sodas, and I was so excited as I sat down and the movie started. When I walked into the theatre, I could tell that the people who were in there were film nerds like myself. There was no way that someone was just casually going to see this on a whim who had not seen it before. You could just tell by the vibe that everyone was having a great time.
The Plot: Beatrix Kiddo’s Quest for Revenge
Ok, we need to talk about the plot, but at this point, Kill Bill is over 20 years old, so I am not sure what more I can say about it, but we can at least discuss the basics. Our main character is Uma Thurman’s Beatrix Kiddo, known as The Bride or, if you want her Deadly Viper Assassination Squad codename, Black Mamba. She is known as the deadliest woman alive!
Beatrix was part of an elite squad of assassins led by a man called Bill, played by David Carradine. Bill is the former leader of The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, and when he tries to have Beatrix killed because she left the organization, he sets off a chain of events that are insane. The first rule of assassination is that if you are going to do it, make sure you do it right.
You see, Bill made a massive mistake! Bill let Beatrix live. The fact that she was shot in the head and just went into a coma tells you how tough she is! Well, once Beatrix wakes up, four years later, she finds out that she lost the baby she was carrying, and now she is out for revenge. She is going to hunt down her former Deadly Viper teammates one by one until she gets to Bill!
A Genre-Blending Tarantino Masterpiece
This is just awesome stuff. It is a movie that just zooms by as it is so over the top and entertaining. It is part revenge movie, part kung fu classic, and it is all wrapped up in that Tarantino style. I absolutely love this movie and have seen it several times over the years, and I have always enjoyed it, but I can see why it may be a tad too over the top or weird for some people.
Iconic Characters and Performances
I do not want to do a deep dive into the cast, but man is this cast is special. I still love Lucy Liu’s Cottonmouth to this day, and her being this badass leader of the Yakuza and the epic fight that comes with this is awesome. The Deadly Vipers that Beatrix hunts down are all just so much fun in their own way, and back when this movie was first released, it was so awesome to see Daryl Hannah in a role like this.
What’s New in The Whole Bloody Affair Version?
Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair does not just slap the two parts together and call it a day. There are some changes here, my favorite being the incredible and iconic the House of the Blue Leaves fight scene, which is now in full bloody color! There is an extension to the anime scene and a few other extended scenes as well.
Runtime and Theatrical Experience
Now, this comes in at over four hours, but they do give you a 15-minute intermission, which my bladder was very thankful for as I had chugged down one of my bottles of Cherry Pepsi Max. The movie flows together really well, getting rid of the end of part 1 and the beginning of part 2 that links things together. I had an absolute blast watching this, and I am so glad that I made the effort to go and see it.
Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair 4K & Collector’s Edition Details
I already have Kill Bill Volume 1 and Volume 2 on 4K. It has been revealed that Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair will be getting a 4K release, and if this gets some kind of special and fancy collectors edition, I am 100 percent going to pull the trigger on that. While it was not the best “new” movie I saw in a theatre in 2025, I cannot think of a better experience I had in a theatre than sitting down and being entertained by this bloody story of revenge! I am guilty of throwing out 10/10 scores a lot, but there is no way I could give this anything lower!
