Out of all of the MCU Disney Plus shows, Loki was the one that I was most excited about. I think that out of all the MCU shows, Loki has the most “going on” in terms of plot and setups for the future of the MCU. It is only six episodes long, but this is the kind of show that I feel is better when you watch it the second time around, kind of like WandaVision.

The Movie Review
It takes place after the time travel antics that went down in Avengers: Endgame. Loki from the first Avengers movie, grabbed the Tesseract and instead of being able to run free, he is arrested by the Time Variance Agency! The TVA is there to keep the timeline ticking along properly and they take out (kill) anything that messes it up such as Loki who is supposed to be dead but is now once again alive.
These types of people are called, Time Variants. Time Variants can cause all kinds of chaos to the timeline. There is one Time Variant that is causing trouble and one of the agents who is called Mobius, suggests instead of killing Loki, they bring him on board to help stop them. The twist is that the Time Variant causing the chaos is another version of Loki.
One of the best things about Loki is Owen Wilson as Mobius. He has that Owen Wilson charm and he wound up being one of my favorite parts of the show. This is not really a spoiler as the trailers give it away, but there are different versions of Loki in this show and that is pretty awesome.
The types of Loki on offer here are great and you can tell that Tom Hiddleston and the other actors portraying Loki had an awesome time here. My personal favorite was how they had an older Loki who was played by Richard E Grant and he had that classic Loki look from the old comic books.
The main one is Sylvie, a female Loki and she and the “real” Loki end up growing close and going on an adventure to find out what the TVA really is. This has massive implications for the universe and the MCU and it has an epic setup for what I feel could be the next big bad in the MCU.
After my first viewing of the show, I thought it was pretty cool. It had a lot of fun moments, plenty of humor and it was a very well-written and smart show. Tom Hiddleston really is Loki, so much so it would be hard to imagine anyone else in this role now. His relationship with Sylvie is fantastic and I think that she forces him to grow a fair bit as a character.
As much as I did enjoy watching Loki, I have to say that I thought it was even better the second time around. I really hate how Disney Plus makes us wait a week for a show, I am pretty much over that format these days if I am being honest. I found when I was able to watch all six episodes over a couple of days that I took more in and enjoyed the show even more.
