One thing I have never grown out of is being a huge fan of Mickey Mouse, it was something that I passed on to my son… who is way too cool to like Mickey these days, but I am sure he will be back one day! Mickey Mouse is a series that Disney put out back in 2013 and it ran for five seasons. The show is made up of short stories as well as a few longer specials and it is a lot of fun.

The Movie Review
This show has such a charming style to it, it has a kind of throwback, early Mickey Mouse vibe about it, but in a modern setting if that makes sense. We get to see Mickey at his very best here. We get to see his fun side, his silly side, his caring side, his charming side, and even his naughty side as well.
All the gang is here too such as Donald, Goofy, Minnie, Daisy, and more showing up regularly throughout the series. I have great memories of watching this in Disneyland Paris in the Café Hyperion while we were having a rest and a bite to eat, there was just something more magical and fun watching this in there. It was shortly after it first aired too so it was fun seeing some of the episodes for the first time.
Each episode has its own little theme and can feature different characters depending on the episode. I wanted to talk about a few of my favorite ones. The first one is called, Croissant de Triomphe and Miinie is running a café and she has run out of croissants and Mickey has to speed all over Paris trying to get more!
Mickey Mouse: Merry & Scary – Merry | Available On DVD
Another really fun episode is called, Down the Hatch. Down The Hatch has Mickey and Goofy shrunken down by Professor Von Drake’s shrink ray and they end up going inside Donald’s body. Seeing characters like Von Drake pop up in this show is such a blast and I liked how each new episode always had the potential to have some iconic Disney character show up.
Road Hogs sees Mickey and Minnie out on a date and they end up in a rough and tough biker bar! However, my favorite episode is called Touchdown and Out and here Mickey, Donald, and Goofy play a game of American football against Pete, the Beagle Boys, and the freaking Chernabog from Fantasia which is so awesome.
Mickey Mouse is a great-looking and sounding show too. The art style is quite unique and it is a lot of fun how the episodes can take place all over the world and try to feature as much of that city’s or country’s culture as possible. I also find it funny how there are some episodes that have next to no talking in them. I would say that the whole show has a bit of slapstick about it and that is what makes it such a fun show.
I love what Disney did with this Mickey Mouse show. I will say that it sucks how only season one and two made it to DVD along with a special called Merry and Scary that features random episodes. I ended up having to resort to buying a bootleg Blu-Ray off Etsy which I love, but I would much prefer an official release.
Give this one a try, most episodes only last a few minutes, making this the perfect show if you need a quick pickup to make you smile and forget about your bad day for a while. It is also the perfect show to watch with your kids as you will love it as much as they do. I legit think that this is a 10/10 show as apart from the lack of a physical release, I cannot think of anything negative to say about it!
