Full disclosure here folks, if it was not for my son who is 12 now, the whole Five Nights At Freddy’s thing would have passed me by. Because of him, I have gone down this deep rabbit hole of fan-made projects such as Chica Simulator which as the name suggests is all about Chica and giving her center stage.

The Game Review
So, what exactly is this game? Well, it is a free game that a fan has made. There was already a Bonnie Simulator released a little while back and the developer of this game says that this is what inspired Chica Simulator. As a result, what we have on offer here is very similar to Bonnie Simulator, only Chica is who we play as.
The aim of the game is what you would expect. You are trying to get into the office and get the night guard before the time hits 6 AM. You need to sneak around and try and get him out of the office so that you can get inside. It is easier said than done and, in many ways, it resembles a puzzle game as you try to figure out how to get in.
The core gameplay is pretty standard, Five Nights At Freddy’s stuff in all honesty with you. The Chica theme does make it stand out though. While you start out with default Chica you can unlock other versions such as Phantom Chica, Rockstar Chica, and Nightmare Chica if you have the funds to do so.
The unlockable content the game has will be what keeps most people going, especially if Chica is one of their favorite characters. You can also unlock items to help you out. The Golden Cupcake for example will make you faster, but you will get fewer points at the end of the round if you use it.
There are a couple of mini-games that you can unlock as well. These mini-games are a nice addition and way more fun than you would think. The one that I really enjoyed was Chica Invaders which was an old-school inspired kind of game that is pretty much Space Invaders, but with Chica.
The presentation of the game is exactly what you would expect from something based on Five Nights At Freddy’s. It has plenty of moments that will make you jump and in all, if you like FNAF and the other fan spin-off games I am sure you will enjoy what is on offer here.
I have dabbled in a few fan style games and this one is pretty solid. It may not be doing anything radically new, but if Chica is a favorite character of yours then you are probably going to get way more out of this. Especially as there are so many different versions of her in the game.
