Hunt Showdown is a multiplayer horror game in which you and your partner, as bounty hunters, hunt monsters and compete with other players. The winners take everything. However, be careful! If you die, you lose everything except your experience. In this corrupted, dark world, there is no room for making mistakes. Make quick decisions. Hunt, and don’t be killed.
How to Download Hunt Showdown
Hunt Showdown is available for download from the Steam platform. To start downloading this hit, click on the Download button at the end of the review. At this point, the game can be downloaded only for Windows, but the developers are also planning to release the title for PS4 and Xbox One. The Hunt Showdown release date in early access (beta) is February 22, 2018.
The Gameplay
Hunt Showdown is another game from Crytek, the famous studio responsible, among others, for the Crysis series and the first part of Far Cry. The atmosphere is a mix of a horror game with The Last Of Us. You are surrounded by abandoned buildings, swamps, and high corn fields. Everywhere you turn there are monsters that are willing to feed on inattentive players.
The goal of the game is to get as many points as possible. You can receive them in a few different ways: by killing a player, a creature, or the boss – a huge spider that each player tries to find. But how to do it? Well, in the area you hunt there are three hints that will lead you to your goal. You can see them highlighted when using the dark sight mode. However, you should be very careful when trying to notice these hints – you never know where your opponents are, and the tiniest rustling sound, frightened birds or barking dogs inform others of your position. In this game, there is no possibility of rebirth. Everyone has one life; if you fall, your hero will go to hell, so take some time to look around for traps.
When you safely get all the clues, your main goal – the big spider – awaits you. You should go to find it, using the skill of your hero – the dark sight. If you can reach the monster before the other players do it, you can start the fight. Due to the high speed of the spider, it will not be easy, and if you consider that the other players upon you starting the fight will hear you and consequently will discover the location of the spider, the fight it becomes even more exciting. What’s better, even after a successful battle, you cannot celebrate – you still have to banish the monster from this world.
When you are doing this (and it will take some time), you must defend your prey against other willing players who perhaps just waited for you to do the dirty job for them. At this point, the hunter becomes a potential victim. If everything goes as planned, you will receive points for winning the game. With them, you can improve tour character so that she will be an even more difficult opponent in future games.
Hunt Showdown offers a wide range of weapons. Depending on the preferred way of fighting, you can choose a revolver that spits bullets, or a rifle, which you can easily blow an unwary opponent’s head,
