SMITE is a free downloadable computer game created by Hi-Rez Studios. The title belongs to the MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) genre. The production premiered in 2014 and can be played on Windows, macOS and PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

The Gameplay
In SMITE, you take part in the struggle of the gods, and you can be of one of them. Each deity is endowed with special and unique skills. The fights are carried out in the form of five vs five matches, and the team’s task is, obviously, to defeat the opponent’s team. The clashes are observed from the third person perspective. The main feature distinguishing SMITE from other such games is the placement of the camera – behind your character’s back.
The game offers such features as multi-player online mode and online collaboration. The player takes part in the battle in the arena, as well as on various other maps. The victory is achieved by the proper use of your character’s abilities and the right choice of tactics. To defeat opponents you need such qualities as cleverness, trickery and team play. Victory in the game also depends on reflexes and precision.
The players are divided into teams, each with five godly heroes. They also fight with creatures to take control of specific areas. In the fight, you must kill the enemy titan and take over the temple.
The user chooses characters from five classes and seven different pantheons. Each character has characteristic movements and skills. In the game, the players have full control over their characters.
Of course, the player can improve the skills of his character (raising his level and buying special items that give you an advantage in battle). The team’s victory depends on by cooperation, but also on the appropriate strategy. Progress in the game is rewarded with gold and experience points (the coins are used to buy new weapons and power).
SMITE is based on Unreal Engine 3.0 technology, thanks to which the graphics are full of details.
The Hardware Requirements
The minimum hardware requirements for the game are the following:
- processor Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom X3 8750,
- at least 2 GB of RAM,
- 35 GB of free disk space.
However, according to the recommendations, your gaming gear should meet the following specs:
- Intel Core i5 2400 or AMD FX 4100 processor,
- graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 470 or AMD Radeon HD 5870,
- at least 4 GB of RAM,
- at least 35 GB of free disk space.
