Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a downloadable RPG (a role-playing game), sometimes also called a game of imagination. The game is a sequel to Divinity: Original Sin. The player visits Rivellon again and assumes the role of a Sourcerer who wants to kill Bishop Alexandar. This is a classic game with an isometric view, the combat system is turn-based, and the level of difficulty is quite high.
Divinity: Original 2 premiered on September 14, 2017. This title is already the fifth major release of the Divinity series, and the direct sequel to the well-received Divinity: Original Sin. The latter was released in June 2014. The successor, just like the original, was developed by the Larian studio from Belgium. It is worth to note that the production was partially financed through crowdsourcing on Kickstarter – collecting a little over $ 2 million.

The Storyline
In Divinity: Original Sin 2 the player plays in the fantasy realm of Rivellon, but the action takes place centuries after the events from Original Sin. Now we control a character hero who uses the power of the Source, which was not possible in the previous version. The task of the player was to control two Source Hunters who hunted the users of the forbidden magic. The dispute between the two groups is still fresh, and the hero you control must flee from the representatives of the Order who want to get him. At the same time, the task is to end the crisis – the invasion of demons. The atmosphere of Divinity: Original Sin 2 is definitely much darker than that of the first part.
The Gameplay
You start by creating your main character. The hero can belong to one of the several possible races. An important improvement over the predecessor when creating your character is the option to select the biographical background. Depending on who your character is, the inhabitants of the world in this game may react differently to your presence. They can even give you different tasks. Therefore, the entire role-playing layer is here much more elaborate than in the previous game. Also, the problems encountered by the player can be solved in many ways.
Divinity series began with the launch of Divine Divinity, an action RPG that was released in 2002. The game showed the world in a top view. The sequel – Beyond Divinity – was published two years later. The game had worse reviews than its predecessor. Next came Divinity II, which was released in 2009, while the fourth title in the Divinity series was Divinity: Dragon Commander – an RTS released in 2013. Divinity: Original Sin was released in 2015 and for the first time in the series it introduced turn-based combat, which was also implemented in Divinity: Original Sin II, released in 2017.
