A Simple Favor Favor is a downloadable mystery thriller film produced by Lionsgate, Feigco Entertainment, and Bron Studios. The film is based on the 2017 novel of the same name and was officially released on 14th September 2018. It is directed by Paul Feig and features a cast consisting of Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively, Henry Golding, and Andrew Rannells.

The Film Review
The film revolves around the characters of Stephanie Smothers, a widowed single mother who runs a vlog, and Emily: a working mother who is irked due to her financial struggles.
Since both their sons study in the same school, the two become friends and exchange personal secrets with each other until one day, Emily calls Stephanie to take care of her son as she has to go out to tend to a work crisis.
Time passes, and Emily does not return which forces Stephanie to contact her husband Sean as they both begin to search for her. Stephanie conducts her own personal investigation which leads to her finding out that Emily was one of two twin sisters.
Emily and her twin sister’s name was Hope and Faith and they disappeared after setting fire to a part of their house when they were children. It is soon revealed that Emily is alive as she manages to contact and meet up with Stephanie to explain her background.
Emily explains her twin sister mysteriously showed up after 16 years and blackmailed her to give her money which led her to kill Faith. Emily lies to Stephanie about Sean after which both of them set a trap which gets him arrested.
Sean is released on bail and Stephanie has a change of heart after figuring out the truth. Sean and Stephanie then team up together and make Emily reveal the truth about how she intends to kill them both by making it seem like a murder-suicide case.
All of Emily’s confessions are streamed live on Stephanie’s vlog as the police come in to arrest her. The film ends with Sean becoming a successful teacher at a renowned university whereas Stephanie finally earns herself 1 million followers on her channel.

A Simple Favor is all about Paul Feig’s geniuses as he combines parts of diverse genres to bring us the gem that is this film. The film, without a doubt, is full of surprises and twists which keeps its viewers constantly at the edge of their seats.
The factor that makes this film great is how Feig has managed to adjust and blend all these moments together so smoothly. As part of the promotion for this film, Blake Lively deleted all the photos from her Instagram page to create the hype.

Fans have praised the acting skills of the cast as the film received a positive rating of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 192 user reviews.
