I was in high school when Beavis and Butt-Head first aired on MTV in the 90s so I was a perfect age. I vividly remember going to see the first movie, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America with some buddies and we loved it. They have already tried to reboot Beavis and Butt-Head, but I never gave it a chance, to be honest with you. However, I decided to check the movie out and it was like I was 15 all over again!

The Movie Review
The movie is very clever in the way that it gets the Beavis and Butt-Head we know from the 90s into a modern-day setting. Beavis and Butt-Head end up at a space camp where they are sent on a mission with Serena the captain of the shuttle. They are investigating a black hole when a “misunderstanding” has the boys thinking Serena wants to have sex with them! She is enraged and throws them into the black hole.
This transports Beavis and Butt-Head forward over 20 years into the modern day! Their arrival into the modern day has been tracked. Now the government is after them and Serena is now the governor of Texas and vows to kill them so they can not expose what she did to them in space back in 98!
So, we have the boys on the run from the government all the while trying to get adjusted to life in 2022. There is another plot that sees Beavis and Butt-Heads that are much smarter from an alternate reality coming into play to try and save the multiverse! It is a crazy story, but it all works and it has that classic Beavis and Butt-Head style that made me feel just like I did when I was a teenager when I loved everything these guys did.
If you liked Beavis and Butt-Head back in the day, I am sure you will like this. It is a fun throwback, but at the same time seeing these guys have to deal with stuff like smartphones and “wokeness” was something I got a massive kick out of. The comedy is fantastic here and I got a lot of laughs out of it.
However, with that being said, I watched this with my wife he has always thought that Beavis and Butt-Head were stupid. Turns out if you did not like Beavis and Butt-Head were at the height of their popularity in the 90s, there is no way this is going to win you over. To be fair, if you felt that way, I am not actually sure why you would watch this, my wife only did because I was watching it.
In all, Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe was a lot of fun and it turned out way better than I thought it would. I was not sure if I had outgrown these characters, but it turns out I am just as immature in my 40s as I was as a teenager! I had a great time with this and I would 100 percent watch it again!
