The Plot
Amongst all the Whos, one particular individual called The Grinch lives in a cave outside of Whoville and despises all the folks in the city. He plans to take revenge on the people by stealing all their Christmas gifts on Christmas eve.
Meanwhile, a 6-year old girl named Cindy Lou designs a trap for Santa Claus to talk to him and ask him for a wish that can help her mother encounter her workload. The Grinch dresses up as Santa and begins to steal everyone’s presents before falling into Cindy’s trap.
Cindy then explains about her wish which softens the Grinch’s heart, however, not enough to make him quit his evil intentions. The Grinch eventually continues and manages to steal everyone’s gifts in Whoville and takes them into his hill. The Whos wake up shocked to see their gifts stolen, however, after listening to Cindy’s mother about how her kids are the ultimate gift for her, they join them in singing the Christmas song, cheering along the way.
This makes the Grinch wonder why everyone is still happy despite not having presents. Unwillingly, he joins the other Whos and begins to sing together before apologizing and accepting Cindy’s invite to have dinner with her family.
At the dinner table, the Grinch confesses that it was not Christmas, but his own loneliness that made him want to ruin the event. The film ends with the Grinch offering a toast to love and kindness.
