Our verdict
- Some of the gothic imagery is really cool
- The premise for the movie and for the villain Roeg is interesting
- It does not take anything away from how great the original movie is
- Some of the dialogue is the cringiest stuff I have heard in a movie in years
- This movie is the definition of trying way to hard to be cool and hip
