The Good Dinosaur is a feature film made in 2015. The movie was directed by Peter Sohn. It is a 3D computer-animated comedy that tells the adventures of a young dinosaur. The cast for the movie include: of Raymond Ochoa as Arlo, Jack Bright as the caveboy, Sam Elliott as Butch the Tyrannosaurus, Anna Paquin as Ramsey who is Butch’s daughter, A.J. Buckley as Nash, Butch’s son, Steve Zahn as Thunderclap, evil pterodactyl, Jeffrey Wright as Poppa Henry, the father of the Apatosaurus family, and Frances McDormand as the mum.

An Alternative History of the World
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if a meteorite that contributed to the extinction of dinosaurs (although it is known that theories are different, but this is one is most likely), did not hit the Earth, but bypassed it instead? The great reptiles from hundreds of millions years ago would have had far more time to evolve, and perhaps their genes would be improved. They would win the race for the world dominations. The species of Apatosaurus and Tyrannosaurs would move on to live sedentary lifestyles. Depending on what they like to ear they would cultivate the land or farm animals for meat and eggs. At the same time, homo sapiens would have a chance to evolve together with the mighty dinosaurs.
The Plot of the Movie
Anyway, this is how the creators of The Good Dinosaurs have imagined the possible past. And maybe someone will think that this is a naive vision, but it must be added that at the same time is also very funny. But how does our story begin?
The main character of the animated film is the herbivore apatosaurus, Arlo. We get to know him as he hatches from his egg as his parents and siblings watch. He is tiny, very weak, awkward, and literally afraid of everything. When his older brother and sister are slowly developing and gaining experience, he still cannot deal even with the simplest of daily chores, unable to conquer his fear of everything.
One day, a pest appears on the Arlo family’s farm, taking out the supplies that the family of the dinosaurs has gathered for the winter. By the way, they are Henry and Ida (father and mother) and the siblings: Libby, Buck, and Arlo. This event will give our humble dinosaur to gain approval and recognition in the eyes of his father, of course, if he manages to fix the problem. Arlo is given the task. to catch the intruder. Unfortunately, even this mission proves to be beyond his strength. Soon due to a series of unfortunate events, the main character finds himself far away from home. This, however, gives him a unique opportunity to overcome his weaknesses and to make new, unexpected and fascinating friendships. The Good Dinosaur will appeal to the viewers of all ages, not just children.
The score for the film was composed by the Canadian film composer Mychael Danna and his brother Jeff Danny. This music was released as an album by Walt Disney Records. It is also worth mentioning that the characters of the movie appear in Disney Infinity 3.0.
