I get a kick out of Hindi action movies and the YFR Spy Universe that Tiger 3 is set in has some fun over-the-top action movies in it. Tiger 3 takes place after the events of Pathaan, a movie which I had some fun with so I was excited to check this out. As it is the third Tiger movie and the fifth in this series, I would not recommend coming into this if you are not familiar with the franchise.

The Movie Review: Tiger 3’s Blending Action and Plot
Let me start by saying that as much as I enjoy Hindi action movies, many of them blend together for me and it can be hard to remember which movie is which. Tiger 3 is a prime example of that, I only saw this recently and already I have found myself forgetting some of the details and getting mixed up with what I saw in Pathaan around a year or so earlier.
The premise of the plot is simple and kind of cool. We have a rogue ISA Agent who is trying to stage a coup and become the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Now, as a premise for an action movie, this is kind of cool and can work, heck some kind of coup has been done to death in action movies for years now, it is a tried and tested story trope for an action movie.
Now, standing in the way of this coup is Salman Khan as Tiger! Tiger is joined by Zoya who has a bit of a complicated story in this one. To be fair, I feel like they wanted to try and make the stakes higher and add in a bunch of subplots and details to make things more “mysterious” However, all it does is make the movie kind of hard to follow and at two and a half hours, it can be a rather difficult movie to sit through if I am being honest.
Action Scenes and Overall Entertainment Value
One thing I will say is that as you would probably expect from a movie from this series, Tiger 3 has some fantastic action scenes. These are spread out quite evenly so even though the movie is long, you are never waiting too long to get some more action. This is good and bad as it made me pay even less attention to the convoluted and no-sense plot as I knew a cool action scene would be right around the corner.
Final Thoughts on Tiger 3
If you love this sort of thing, I am sure that you will get super into it and love it. I will admit, I got a huge kick out of an appearance in this movie I did not know was going to happen. So I give them a big high five for making sure that those who are familiar with this franchise appreciate the little details, nods, and characters from other movies.
Much like I said when I talked about Pathaan, Tiger 3 is a movie that I did not dislike, but I would not be bothered about watching it again. It was a fun night out at the movies and I love how my theater makes an effort to show these Hindi blockbusters and as long as they do, I will continue to check them out. If you like this franchise, give this a watch, but if any of the other movies in this universe have not clicked with you, this is not going to change that.
