About Daddy Ocean
Daniel Morales was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He started producing music professionally using the alias Danny O.C.T. He was featured in compilations in Desolat X-Sampler Purple before releasing his songs Parachutes and U-YE. These projects had a very underwhelming response, but his confidence did not deter.
He decided to relocate to Miami, Florida, to pursue his music career. The political unrest in Venezuela had escalated at this time, so he decided to escape, searching for tranquility and peace. He started working at low-paying jobs to cover his basic expenses upon relocating to the USA. At the same time, he invested in music since he was facing trouble fitting in.
It is at this time he composed and released Me Rehúso. Its video grew exponentially with more than one billion views presently. He later released a song, Baby I Won’t, which landed him a contract with Warner Music Latina and Atlantic Records.
The music contract further boosted his online and music presence. He went on to release more music in 2019. The following two years, 2020 and 2021, displayed his songwriting talent on full display, featuring artist Karol G in Miedito o Que and Tokischa in Dorito and Coca Cola.
He was one of the first Latin artists to top all music charts and Spotify playlists. Furthermore, his newest music releases, such as Vuelve, Veneno, and Dembow, represent his evolved renditions of pop and reggaeton. Danny Ocean wishes to work with Bruno Mars and Daft Punk in the future.
