The Song Review
The remix version is mainly known for its inclusion of Farruko present both, in the vocals as well as the music video.
Calma: the Lyrics
Calma has a typical summer vibe attached to the tune and lyrics as it mainly talks about going out to the beach and having fun with their female counterparts. It is available to play through digital download.
Calma is essentially a flirtatious song which features entertaining lyrics that talk about having a good time at the beach. The remix lyrical version begins with both Pedro and Farruko welcoming the listeners to what they call, paradise.
They introduce the listeners to the environment by explaining life begins here by a cup of coffee and going straight to the beach where they can interact and flirt with other willing individuals.
Farruko carries this concept forward by explaining how they enjoy their lives by going for a swim, enjoying the variety of chinchorros, and drinking to their heart’s desire.
The chorus features both the artists singing together, terming the beach and its activities as the perfect remedy to heal the soul.
The chorus sings “Let’s go to the beach, to cure your soul, close the screen, open the medal, All the Caribbean sea, watching your waist, you flirt baby, and you are hard, and I like it”.
At the end of the song, Farruko signs off by uniquely mentioning the creators behind the song and giving them credits by naming a few individuals involved including Farru, Pedro, George Noriega, and Rec808.
The Video
The official remix video begins with a view of the beach and a girl working tirelessly on her laptop. She takes a break and takes a glance outside the window after which, her entire surroundings change from a congested office to a tropical beach island.
Meanwhile, in the background, Pedro can be seen wearing beach clothes and singing beside Farruko, who also makes an appearance at more or less the same time.
The girl then goes forward and enters the sea with her assumed lover. She swims away her worries and gets intimate with her partner along the way.
The focus then shifts to a general perspective where different individuals can be seen having drinks, enjoying their time in what seems to be a tense-free land. The sequence ends as sunset occurs with the two artists lining up with the rest of the performers, sending their greetings from the land of paradise.
