Today we are taking a look at Lightshot. Lightshot is a very handy screenshot capture tool that you can use on your computer. It is the kind of thing that comes in way handier than you would think. It is free to use, could not be any easier to use and it is something that I have used way more than I thought I would.
How to Download Lightshot

The Program Review
Taking screenshots on your phone is probably something that you take for granted. You see something funny on the internet, Facebook, a WhatsApp message, or whatever, you screenshot it and share it. It is something we have all been doing for years. But on a computer, it is a bit more of a hassle and most folks will still “print screen” to copy and share a screenshot on their computer.
This is free to use and it can be downloaded on Windows and MAC, but there is no Linux version available just yet. The version that I have been playing around with is the add-on for Google Chrome as it is the stuff of the internet that I am most interested in screen capturing.
I would assume that most of you guys will know what screen capturing is, but I want to take a moment to talk about a few of the features that I think are pretty neat. To start with, selecting what you want to screenshot could not be any easier. It is literally two clicks and you can select the area that you want to capture.
That right there makes screen capturing as easy as can be, but the whole UI of this thing is great. If you use it on Google Chrome, it is just a little extension that you click on when you want to use it and that is what I have been doing. Even if you are using it on your desktop to screenshot something on Word or some other application, the UI is very easy to figure out.
There is an editing suite here too. This is great as it lets you play around with the image, document, or whatever it is you have captured. There is a basic editor that you can use right away once you have screenshotted something. Or, you can open up the other editor which gives you more features to play around with.
This software does also has its own dedicated server. What makes this great, is that you can instantly upload your captured image here and you will be given the short link. I post regularly on a video game collectors forum and this has been a real time saver being able to do this!
I think if you regularly capture images on your computer and you are sick of how time-consuming and awkward it is, this is for you. Lightshot makes capturing images or whatever it is you need to capture as easy as can be. It has some great features and it is the kind of software that you will probably use way more than you would think.
