Grand Theft Auto Online is a multiplayer action game which is available for download. It gives you the opportunity to play together with players from around the world. The game setting is the world of GTA V. The game has been developed by Rockstar Games studio, which is also known for such titles as, among others, Red Dead Redemption, Midnight Club, Manhunt, and of course the Grand Theft Auto series. The PC version of the game was released on April 14, 2015, while the PS4 and Xbox One versions appeared on November 17, 2014. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions were released even earlier, on October 1, 2013.

GTA Online Story
The plot loosely refers to GTA V. This time, however, you do not have three main heroes, and the players assume the roles of less important gangsters. A single game can hold up to 16 players simultaneously on older consoles, and up to 30 on PS4 and Xbox One and on the PCs. You can do pretty much everything you could in the single-player version of the title.
However, the missions have changed. You get a number of new tasks to complete. They include bank robberies, protection of people or buildings or assassinations. You will be able to perform some of these tasks together with friends. The title comes with a simple mission wizard that allows you to create your own scenarios and add them to the game. As in every installment of the series, your goal is to earn money on illegal businesses activities to climb up the ladder of a criminal career. You do it by completing out various missions like car thefts, shady deals and all kinds of minor wickedness.
The Game Mechanics
The mechanics of the game do not differ much from those found in Grand Theft Auto V. The game lets you see the world both from the first- and third-person perspectives. A huge number of vehicles is available. You can travel the world in many different ways, on land, in the water, and in the air. In addition to the classic game, you will be able to take part in multiplayer deathmatches and other crazy modes.
The Add-ons
Since 2013 the game has been constantly developed by the creators who listen carefully to the voice of the players. In fact, Grand Theft Auto Online is San Andreas Multiplayer on steroids. The latter was an add-on to GTA San Andreas. Because there have been a lot of good mods created for GTA SA, the devs of GTA Online also this time support the modding scene.
