Each of these roles has specific attributes and skills. In addition, they can form alliances or cause hostilities with other characters. For example, Pirates are generally skilled at ambushing merchants and smugglers thereby looting ships that can help them gain some serious profits. Once the character customization is complete, the players have to select a specific faction to join in order to form and maintain alliances with other members who can help them grow in terms of economy and trade.
The game begins as players are required to complete different missions and tasks. Players are also required to maintain and manage their crew by leveling them up with the experience they gain. Each crew member can be assigned with different talents and abilities which can in-turn give the players an edge over the AI in both offense and defense.
