IIron Man 3 is a downloadable superhero action-adventure film produced by Marvel Studios. The film is a sequel to Iron Man (2008) and Iron Man 2 (2010) and is the overall seventh edition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Released on 14th April 2013, Iron Man 3 is directed by Shane Black and features the continuous cast consisting of Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, and Jon Favreau.

The Film Review
The Plot
Iron Man 3 begins as Tony Stark can be seen experiencing mental traumas due to the excessive amount of alien invasions that have taken place recently. This leads him to build dozens of Iron Man suits, thereby isolating himself from his girlfriend Pepper Potts.
Meanwhile, several terrorist attacks take place by the unknown terrorist known as Mandarin. This forces Stark to come up on television and publicly threat Mandarin, however, as a result, an attack takes place at his very own house which he manages to survive after escaping in the suit.
Stark travels to Tennessee where he teams up with a prodigal 10-year-old boy named Harley to investigate Mandarin through the explosion remains. Meanwhile, it is revealed that a crippled scientist named Aldrich Killian – who once offered Stark to join his company – is actually Mandarin under disguise.
Killian kidnaps Potts and reveals that he intends to use her for Extremis: an experimental process which allows humans to regenerate from any and every disability. It is also revealed how all the terrorist attacks were a cover-up by Killian to dispose of those soldiers who became defected after not passing the Extremis test.
Lastly, Killian blackmails Stark that Potts has been forcefully inducted into the experiment and how he will need to help him perfect the system if he wants her to survive. After Killian kidnaps the vice president as well, Stark teams up with Rhodes in order to confront him. In the midst of the fight, Potts falls to her apparent death but manages to survive due to her undergoing the experimental process successfully.
Finally, Stark, with the help of Potts, confronts and manages to kill Killian. The film ends with Stark declaring how he will leave his superhero life behind after which, he gets a surgery, replacing the arc reactor and throwing it off into the sea.
The Movie Production
Iron Man 3, due to its mind-boggling graphics and effects, was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. Out of several companies, Framestore was one which took the majority of the responsibility for producing the effects.
According to the company’s VFX supervisor, over 178 shots were produced in a span of five short months. These included Iron Man’s iconic Air Force One sequence along with setting up the environment and characters who underwent Extremis.
Iron Man 3: the Music
Moving over to the film’s original score, Marvel hired Brian Taylor, an American composer, due to his previous success with creating scores for renowned films such as The Fast and Furious Series. The score was recorded by Abbey Road Studios and was released on 30th April 2013.
The Bottom Line
Iron Man 3 hit big on the box office screens by grossing over a whopping $1.2 billion. It went on to become the second highest grossing film of 2013 along with receiving several awards and nominations.
