Man vs. Baby

I thought that 2022’s Man vs Bee on Netflix was an absolute riot! Like many people in the UK (and the rest of the world) I find Rowan Atkinson hilarious. With Man vs Baby, they are taking the formula of what they did with Man vs Bee and expanding upon it. I had a great time with this, but I think I would have had more fun if I had watched it when it came out.

Where to Watch Man vs. Baby

Man vs. Baby was released on 11 December 2025. You can stream the film from Netflix.

The Movie Review

Despite loving Man vs Bee, during December, when Man vs Baby popped up on Netflix, I was deep in my Christmas movie watching that I do each year, thus, I decided I would get to it at some point in the new year.

Watching Man vs. Baby After Christmas

Well, that point is here, and I am such a moron, I did not realize that Man vs Baby is a Christmas show that should be watched at Christmas! I kind of wish that instead of watching this at the end of January, I just waited until Christmas of this year.

A Short and Easy Binge

Anyway, despite not watching this during the festive season, I still had a good time watching it. Like Man vs Bee, Man vs Baby is not a big commitment, and you can watch it all in one sitting. Rather than being eight shorter episodes, this is divided up into four, and you are looking at around two hours to watch the whole thing. I actually wonder why they did not just make this a movie instead of a mini-series?

Rowan Atkinson Returns as Trevor

Once again, we have Rowan Atkinson playing the role of a man called Trevor. After the mayhem that was his housesitting job in Man vs Bee. Trevor is looking for a job that is a little easier this time around. While I am not sure exactly what his thinking was, Trevor ends up getting the job as a caretaker at a school.

The Nativity Baby Mix-Up

During the festive period, there is a bit of a mix-up. Actually, it is a pretty big mix-up; the baby who is being used as the baby Jesus in the nativity scene is left behind. Ok, so ignoring the child abandonment, this is the setup for our story. This means that Trevor is now responsible for looking after this baby.

Slapstick Chaos and Classic Hijinks

As Trevor is a father, you would think that he would have some idea of what to do. However, pretty much everything that could go wrong does, and Trevor finds himself at his wits’ end as he goes head-to-head with this baby. If you liked the slapstick humor of the first series, you will have a fun time here. This is pretty much the same kind of hijinks, and that is something I am more than ok with. Of course, if you were not all that into Mr. Bean and Man vs Bee, chances are the humor here is not going to be for you either.

Final Thoughts on Man vs. Baby

I got a real kick out of the slapstick humor here, and I found myself cracking up a few times. However, I will say, I think that I would have liked this more if I watched it over Christmas. To be fair, that is my problem and not the problem of the show. If you have not yet watched this, I would recommend holding off and watching it at Christmas time.

Man vs. Baby
Man vs. Baby is a festive slapstick comedy where Trevor battles babysitting chaos in a laugh-filled Christmas misadventure. Fun times!!!
