Predator: Killer of Killers

You know, I am not sure why it has taken me so long to write a review for Predator: Killer of Killers, as I thought that it was fantastic. This is brought to us by Dan Trachtenberg, the mastermind of the epic Prey and 2025’s Predator: Badlands. Those are two fantastic movies, and honestly, this one here is every bit as good as the rest.

Where to Watch Predator: Killer of Killers

Predator: Killer of Killers was released on June 6, 2025. You can stream the film from Hulu.

The Movie Review

This was not a theatrically released movie; instead, this was made available on Hulu/Disney+, depending on where you live in the world. I had no idea that this was a thing until it showed up, so that was such an awesome surprise. This is not live action, nope, this is animated, but it feels every bit as much of a Predator movie as the two live-action efforts that Dan Trachtenberg was the brains behind.

Predator: Killer of Killers – A Bold Anthology Approach

Predator: Killer of Killers is a little bit different, though. This is sort of like an anthology movie where we have three different Predator stories, but they do all combine into one. It is honestly a very clever way to do things, and while I am getting a bit ahead of myself here, the ending sequence with what we saw blew my mind as a long-time Predator fan. I tell you, we Predator fans have been eating very good over the last few years, and I hope that it continues.

The Viking Chapter – Ursa vs Predator

The movie starts all the way back during the days of the Vikings. We have a badass Viking warrior called Ursa, and she is leading her clan, along with her son, on a raid, but they end up coming across a Predator. I love the way that the Predators have been coming to Earth for hundreds of years to hunt and prove their worth to their elders. Ursa is such a cool character, and seeing her stand up and go head-to-head with a Predator was awesome.

Feudal Japan – Brotherhood and Bloodshed

After this, we jump forward several hundred years to the day of feudal Japan. Two brothers, Kenji and Kiyoshi, are being forced by their father to fight to the death for leadership of the clan. Kenji refuses, runs to exile himself, but returns many years later to try and take his brother’s clan down, but he is being stalked by a Predator as he does this. This leads to a samurai showdown between the brothers and the Predator, and it is just as awesome as you would expect. Out of the three mini stories, this was my favorite.

Predator During WWII – Chaos Unleashed

For the third story, we jump forward another several hundred years to World War II. During a WWII battle, a Predator in their ship shows up and causes chaos, leading to Captain Vedy and a soldier called Torres facing off with a Predator. Now, I thought that this was just the end of it all. I would have been more than cool with this, three fun and action packed Predator stories in one movie…. But this movie was not done with me yet.

The Fourth Chapter – The Grand Finale

Now, no spoilers here, but we then get a fourth and final part of this story that links it all together, and it is honestly fantastic and some of the best Predator lore that we have gotten from any movie! The ending blew my mind, and while this movie filled in some stuff about the Predators, their world, and so on, it also gave me a ton more questions!

Why Predator: Killer of Killers Deserved a Theatrical Release

It is a real shame this never got a theatrical release. I would have loved to have seen this in the theatre. I hope that we get some kind of special 4K release of this with a bunch of extras, extended scenes, and so on. However, this is Disney we are talking about here, so I certainly do not have my hopes all that high that this will ever happen.
