The Plot
Teen Titans Go! To the Movies starts off with the Titans attempting to stop Balloon man but are intervened by Justice League who start to insult them by claiming that they are non-serious which is why they don’t even have their own movie. The Titans feel insecure and hence, decide to make a movie about themselves.
Meanwhile, Slade breaks into Star Labs and escapes with a valuable crystal after the Titans fail to stop him. Robin and the gang then travel to Hollywood where they meet director Jade Wilson. Jade initially refuses but later agrees after seeing the fight that takes place once again between the Titans and Slade who, this time, manages to stop him by taking the crystal from him.
Jade only offers Robin to feature in her film to which, he agrees despite the rest of the team’s concerns. When Robin finishes making the movie, he is suddenly hit by a light which knocks him out. Soon, it is revealed that Jade was actually Slade in disguise who steals the crystal from Robin which enables him to control the rest of the Superheroes from around the world. Robin calls the rest of the Titans who fight them off together, thereby defeating Slade and his plans to take over the world.
From the Comic Books to TV and to the Big Screen
After becoming hit on television, the directors and cast decided to take Teen Titans Go! to the big screens. The film is colorful and well animated, such that it can even be considered the family-friendly version of the Deadpool movie. The film mainly targets the audience of children under the age of 16 however, it has enough action and humor to make any Superhero film genre fan watch it with interest. Apart from the usual cast, viewers get to see new characters and legendary actors on the screen including the boss himself, Stan Lee as himself in a small cameo.
The film itself has been a success so far but the main highlight that has been discovered is the possible revival of the original Teen Titan series that ran on our television screens from 2003 till 2006. In one of the credits scene, the original Teen Titans appear in their old forms where we can see Robin looking at the screen while saying that I think We Finally Found Our Way Back.
This scene has become viral, hinting towards a likely return of the original series that is loved and cherished by fans, especially the 90’s generation who grew up watching it.
