If I were to do a top five TV show of all time list, The Sopranos would be on it. This is a show that kind of makes me feel old, it started when I was in my last year of high school and it was the first big show that I remember watching when I lived on my own at university. It was real appointment TV viewing for me and I never missed an episode.

The Movie Review
I think the best compliment I can give The Sopranos is that it is a show I have watched multiple times and even now, if I am flipping through the channels and I come across a random episode I will watch it. This has actually been what has spurred me to rewatch the entire series a couple of times.
Look, even if you are one of the few that has not seen the show, you know the basics or at the very least think you do. The Sopranos is a “gangster” show, but it is far more than that, it is a character-driven show with complex, interesting, and flawed characters that you love and hate.
The main character is Tony Soprano who will go down in history as one of the greatest characters in a TV show of all time. He is part of a crime family that runs out of New Jersey and he is a big part of this crime family, eventually becoming its leader. Tony is a very, very complicated man.
He can be brutal, rude, callous, mean, and violent, pretty much what you would expect a gangster to be. However, Tony also has a sensitive, caring, funny, and charming side to him as well. It makes for a very interesting character to watch, this is especially true when we see him in therapy.
You see, Tony is struggling to balance his family and gangster life and all of the drama that comes from the two. While I would 100 percent say that Tony is the star of the show, The Sopranos is a real ensemble cast kind of show with many interesting characters. I love Pauly, Sil, Tony B, and Artie, but at the same time, I grew to hate characters such as Phil, Ralphie, and even Christopher.
Actually, the relationship between Christopher and Tony and how dramatic it can be is one of the aspects of the show that I love the most. There are articles, videos, and even studies done on The Sopranos and the characters and their relationships, that is how serious and how much people love this show!
There are six seasons of The Sopranos and while I enjoyed it while it was on, this is one of the most binge-watchable shows that you can watch. It is a very addictive kind of show and while it took years, when I eventually got my wife to watch it (she says he hates gangster movies) she fell in love with it right away and was hooked.
There are three things I do not like about The Sopranos! First of all the video game based on it is not very good, secondly the movie, The Many Saints of Newark was very disappointing and third, the chances of a 4K set of this are slim to none. As far as the actual show goes, there is not a single thing about The Sopranos that I dislike.
