PlanetSide 2 is a free downloadable online MMO FPS from Sony Online Entertainment (currently Daybreak Game Company), which takes place in a distant future. The game is available on Windows and PS4. The setting for this shooter is the planet Auraxis, where a part of humanity was sent in order to explore a space anomaly that had appeared several times over the years. However, there was a misunderstanding and then a conflict resulting in the formation of three factions, and the player must join one of them. These are the authoritarian Terran Republic, the rebel New Conglomerate and Vanu Sovereignty striving for technological progress. In addition, each of the available factions is characterized by a different style of combat, eg. Terran Republic at the expense of damage inflicted by the weapons increases the rate of fire and the time in which the vehicles are able to move.
In addition, you have a choice of several classes. Light Assault is equipped with a jetpack, Infiltrator has a sniper rifle, MAX wears heavy armor, Engineer repairs vehicles and equipment, Heavy Assault has a rocket launcher, and Combat Medic heals the soldiers. The gameplay is diversified by a wide range of devices you can uses. There are grenades that can revive your allies, you can hacking terminals, wear all kinds of heavy armor, disappear from the enemy’s field of view, and user fire-spitting turrets which will help you in battle.

The Game Review
PlanetSide 2 is a big scale game. You wage war not only on land but also in the air. You can also improve your character, as well as the vehicles and the weapons with so-called CERT (certification) points gained in combat. However, this is not so easy. Depending on what territory your faction occupies, you receive access to specific resources which let you buy the above-mentioned vehicles, planes, or mines or C4.
The plot tells the story of humanity, which, due to the exhaustion of world reserves, embarks on a journey through the universe. Then a space-time hole is discovered, from which messages of an alien civilization are received. The prospect of making extraterrestrial contact forces the Earthlings to investigate the anomalies, but as a result of an accident, humanity goes to a previously unknown planet Auraxis, which it colonizes.
This alien planet is divided into four drastically different continents. Amerish, is heavily wooded and mountainous, with the climate of neverending summer. The second part of the planet is the desert Indar covered with rocks, being at the same time the largest of the four continents. Esamir is characterized by an ice-covered landscape, with unusual, gigantic spikes protruding from the ground, and the last, smallest continent is swampy Hossin.
The player’s goal is to take control of as much of the enemy’s territory as possible. The control of the area is gained by reaching checkpoints. Each of the factions that occupy 90% of the area can establish a so-called continental lock, thanks to which the members of the party receive specific bonuses. During the game, the players gain experience points (XP), allowing them to advance to higher levels (up to 100), as well as earn higher military ranks.
