Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is the type of anime mystery game that you can rarely find nowadays. It adds a lot of excitement, fun and rewarding moments in a great downloadable package that’s extremely easy to use and that is extremely interesting.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Review
If you start playing Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony without playing the first two, you will be quite confused. But this time around, as a returning character, you do have some really cool ideas. The trial mini-games are new to the experience and their implementation is actually super interesting and fun. The bonus and post-game content is interesting too, and you just have a lot of fun with it.
In Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony you actually have character development and a good skill and leveling system. These were a bit problematic in the previous games, so it’s cool to see them revisit this and make things a tiny bit better.
We are great fans of the Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony relationship and freetime building mechanic. It’s vastly improved, it allows you to work on relationships and just have fun with the process without having to spend a lot of time or anything like that. It does work really nice and you will like the fact that you can interact or even have relationships with anyone you want. It’s definitely a new approach and one that will obviously come with its fair share of great moments to explore.
The customization aspect is also better, which does help add a bit of leeway to the entire game experience. It’s definitely an exploration, love and simulation experience and it brings in front a lot of hard work and commitment to the table. It’s a stellar and fun experience to have and one that you will enjoy quite a bit.
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony does fall short in a few situations. The story is too convoluted and it’s not as good as it used to be. You do treat murders in a way that’s basically business as usual. And it shouldn’t be like that. However, the experience is quite unique and you do have immediate access to some cool and interesting opportunities for you to explore as you play. But the lack of great writing makes the experience less personal here. And you will be able to find plot holes too, which in the end can be quite a bad thing for the experience in its totality.
We found Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony to be a pretty good game. The game fatigue can be seen as there are plot holes and the story is not as good as the other games in the series. But don’t get us wrong, this is a good game either way and if you are a fan of the series, you will totally want to give this a shot too. It’s more of the same but improved and with lacking features in some areas.
- Trial mini games
- Better customization
- Backstories for characters
- Relationship building
- The story is convoluted
- Large plot holes
