Everlasting Summer is a distinct visual novel that lets you experience the story of a 25 years old Russian man. The thing you will have to do here is to figure out why you were magically transported to a summer camp in the middle of Russia where you will meet the amazing characters: Zhenya, Yulya, Viola, Ulyana, Slavya, Shurik, Semyon, Pioneer, Miku, Lena, Elektronik, and Alisa.

The Game Review

The main character is a regular man, and he tries to do a whole lot of stuff here. It’s the type of thing that really manages to push things forward with the great story and unique character. Semyon is a great character here and he does a very good job at showing how was life in Russia before the 90s.

In addition, he does try to go through his relationships and navigate them in order to find the most meaningful things. You will have to figure out why you were brought to the camp. Is someone trying to attack you? Or maybe there are some other things that you need to think about? All these problems and issues do add up to bring in front a great opportunity and in the end that leads to some amazing wonders.

Despite being created in Russia, Everlasting Summer has the same style as the Japanese visual novels. It actually uses the Ren’Py visual novel engine, so it really is like many other visual novels out there. It’s very distinct however because of his story and characters.

The game has a good dialogue system and the choices that you make will affect your progress and further dialogue options. But the most important thing is that it will also affect relationships, so you have to figure out what is very important for you and how you can manage everything. Things will not be as easy as you would imagine, there’s always a price to pay for intrusion and finding out what happened may very well end up being costly for you!

The intensity of Everlasting Summer only gets better and better as you play. The game does a very good job at offering you some unique mechanics. It certainly shines due to that and offers a unique experience. Everlasting Summer is one of the best anime visual novels out there.
