If like me you have dived deep into the world of GTA Online, FiveM could be just what you are looking for. This is a pretty awesome modification for GTA V that makes the online portion of the game extra fun. It is great if you like to run your own server, but if you are like me and just want to screw around you can do that too.

The Program Review

From what I understand about this is that it allows you to pretty much do what you want. What led me to want to use this was that I wanted to try my hand at using some of the custom stuff that people have made. The first thing I tried was using this DeLorean thing someone made. It was awesome being able to drive around the GTA Online map in a DeLorean.

They offer support for pretty much everything you could imagine. Custom cars, maps, weapons, and more are supported with this. I have seen some pretty wild stuff that people have created with this. While I am pretty tame and only really take what other people make and use it. Honestly, if you are skilled and creative enough the sky is the limit for what you can do with this!

As well as playing with other people, this allows you to have the GTA AI characters in the game as well. This means if you are sick of playing with other people you can just screw around mowing down the AI if you want. I did find that it took me a while to figure out what I could do and how to do it, but the learning experience was actually part of the fun. Plus, if you are not lazy like me, they have detailed instructions on the site.

We all know that Rockstar does not screw around when it comes to banning people. With this, you do not have to worry about getting banned as all the stuff you do through FiveM is kept completely separate from your official GTA Online account. As the two never touch, Rockstar has no reason at all to ban you.

Never in a million years would I try to run a server, but from the little bit of digging I did, it looks straightforward enough. They have a community section there that is dedicated to helping people keep their own servers running nice and smooth. They do seem like they are very “player-focused” and that they want GTA players to have a good time.

They do require your Rockstar login information, but this is just to verify that you actually own the game. While this does have a bit of a learning curve going on, I must say that once I figured it all out this was a lot of fun. If you enjoy GTA Online and want to try something a bit different and crazier, take a closer look at this.

FiveM is a mod for Grand Theft Auto V, which can be downloaded to play multiplayer on dedicated servers. Download it now.
