The Game Review

By using siege engines constructed in Besiege, you can destroy fortresses and cities, and smash or burn battalions of soldiers. A common task that you will have to do in the game will also be to defend against invaders and enemy troops. What do we have at your disposal? You can create catapults which throw boulders, but also spit fire. What’s more despite the medieval game theme, there are also modern machines that you can assemble such as tanks, and even bombers and warships.

To achieve the main goal of the game – that is, conquer the world, you must destroy all the kingdoms and kill all the people, not saving even the grazing sheep. To do this, you can choose different tactics and strategies. The game does not force you to complete any stage in a specific way. It is only up to you how you will perform the work of destruction.

The game world looks like the Middle Ages, although there are also science fiction maps. The building possibilities are huge. You can create really crazy constructions because Besiege is a sandbox which allows you do whatever you wish. There are quite a few materials to choose from, which need to be selected to build an effective device of destruction. In order to wreak havoc, it is also important to control and properly manage your weapons. You have to attack the enemy at a particular moment to destroy his army.

The graphics look nice and the game engine does a good job. It’s worth to point out that the game has an unusual graphic design, which makes you feel as if you were looking at concept graphics arts. This is so because a large part of the ground is a light gray surface with no texture. Although not all reactions, collisions and impacts seem realistic, the game offers a lot of fun. The elements of the surrounding world can be destroyed. Such game properties require the player to think about each step to come up with the right strategy.

The Biesege website provides players with a lot of useful information. In addition, you can find video materials on the website, and a priceless forum link where you can exchange experiences with other players. It is a good way to broaden your knowledge and become an effective medieval general.

Considering what the game offers, the requirements are very small. Certainly, every computer will cope with this task or running Besiege. To play, you need to have a 2.2 GHz dual-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 1 GB of free disk space. The same requirements apply to Mac OS X and Linux platforms.

Besiege is a very successful production and it has collected very positive feedback from a large number of the players.
