Brick Rigs is an unusual sandbox simulation game in which you build our own vehicles which are composed of bricks. The game was created by a one-person German independent development studio owned by the Lukas Rustemeyer. This is not his first production, as he was previously known for creating simulator games. Brick Rigs is, however, his first commercially successful game and is currently available on Steam in early access. The title premiered on November 7, 2016, and is constantly updated and supported by the creator. The game is available exclusively on the PC platform.

The Storyline and the Gameplay in Brick Rigs
Brick Rigs does not feature a storyline. It is a pure sandbox where you can create your vehicles and play with them. You build your machines with bricks and in fact, it’s hard not to feel like you’re playing virtual LEGO bricks. You have an open world that we can explore. What you will do with your creations depends totally on you. There are a few things you can do: driving, transporting goods and, our favorite, furiously destroying your vehicles in spectacular accidents.
The Game Mechanics and the Controls
The mechanics of the game focus on the construction of your own vehicles, made from the blocks that resemble those produced by the famous Danish company. As with the LEGO bricks, you are limited only by your imagination but this time you have all the bricks you can wish for. With them, you can construct any vehicle that we will then move on the map. You can conquer both ground space. This means that in addition to the cars, you will also be able to construct flying vehicles!
The system of collisions designed in the game deserves special attention. The vehicles when they get in contact with obstacles explode in spectacular ways, spreading around hundreds of their parts. The construction creator is also extremely intuitive. The vehicles can be built in your garage by simply dragging the selected blocks in the menu on the left side of the screen.
Brick Rigs: the Graphics and the Visual Effects
The style of the graphics will make LEGO fans feel right at home. However, only the vehicles are built from the bricks. The game world consists of very nicely rendered and textured landscapes, which contrast with the childish brick toys. The physical engine created for the purpose of this title does a pretty good job, even at the moment of collision, when it has to calculate the behavior of many car parts flying in different directions.
