Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 is the third game in its series which was created by Red Dot Studios and published by PlayWay who is also known as the publisher of such titles as The Way or Helicopter 2015: Natural Disasters. Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 is available for PCs and for the game consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
There is no story in the game. Our main task is to repair the cars of the clients in our auto repair shop. The game offers an advanced system of upgrades both for our garage and for the character of the mechanic that we play. The upgrades add momentum to the gameplay and we can accept more complicated jobs.

How to Play
Despite that the game is a simulator, to play it, we certainly don’t need to command specialized knowledge. The spare parts required for the repairs are marked clearly, and there’s an instruction what do to at any given moment, which is conveniently displayed on the screen.
The game controls are easy to master. The jobs we receive run according to one pattern: find the cause of the malfunctioning, unscrew the car to access the required component, find a replacement in your stock, and screw the baby back together. The game offers over 40 models of cars, which reduces the effect of the repetition. The game could benefit from licensed machines. The cars in the game are similar to the originals but they are not them.
Besides the option to fix the cars of our clients we can also buy damaged cars. We purchase them with the money made on the repairs. Then we make it work and look like a new one.
Each car from our shop can be tested on track. As we gain experience we gain access to new tools or places, for example to a paint shop, which can be a wonderful getaway from the daily repairs. Thus another interesting activity is painting cars.
Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 – Is it Better than the Previous Games?
The new game looks better than its predecessors Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 and 2014. We have more parts to use and more complicated repairs to perform. We can install new shiny rims, change the tires. We have more car models, more things to do and the in-game town is bigger. Also, the graphics have been significantly improved although because of that the game feels more sluggish at times.
Undoubtedly Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 is on the best games of its type on the market. It definitely outshines low-budget simulators which can be sometimes bought for pennies. For example Construction Simulator 2015 is much worse.
CMS 2018 as far as quality goes should be rather compared to the popular series of the farm simulators, for instance, Farming Simulator 17. By playing them we won’t become professionals mechanics or farmers but the attention to details in each of these titles is unrivaled. It’s obvious that the developers didn’t cut corners and didn’t just copy the previous editions of the game with a minor lift here and there. The game has been redesigned and definitely for the better. It’s a pity that so far there is no demo, which is available in the case of the previous Car Mechanic Simulator games.
