Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 is a follow-up to the 2018 release of the same name. This is a kind of niche game that has a very specific audience, an audience that absolutely loves it I might add. It polishes up Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 in many different ways, all the while adding in a few new features to make it a more complete experience.

The Game Review
The point of the game is to create your own garage and eventually get to the point where you are the best in town. This is a very realistic kind of sim game and it is 100 percent only for people who are interested in cars. Speaking of cars, there are 72 different cars in the game, some old bangers that need a lot of TLC to bring them back to life and even some brand new fresh off the showroom floor cars too.
You get to design your garage and you start off with the bare basics so that you can make repairs to the engine, put on new wheels, replace the oil, and so on. As you progress you can add many new things to your garage such as advanced diagnostic machines that will help you get to the bottom of what is wrong much quicker. You can even get a test drive track to make sure you have repaired the car right.
You can get new cars by purchasing them at an auction. The cars that you can buy will be in all kinds of various conditions and it is up to you to decide what ones are worth your time and money. Sometimes you can get a real heap of junk that you find in someone’s barn, that looks ready for the scrapheap, but it turns out to be a diamond in the rough as you bring it back to life.
While there are many different repairs that you have to do in Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 and at first it seems like there is a ton of variety. Apart from selecting the right part, most of the repairs boil down to you clicking the mouse multiple times. Some of the jobs are more fun and satisfying than others, washing the cars, for example, was something that I really enjoyed.
The game has a randomly generated order system so that you will never run out of jobs to do in the game. There are also some story-type missions as well where you get a repair to do that has some specific things going on such as a time limit, reason for the repair, and so on. These are kind of fun and I think with a bit more time, they could have done a pretty fun story mode in the game.
They added in some minigames this time around and these come into play when you are using a specific station in the garage like the washer for example. They call these minigames, but truth be told they are more just clicking the mouse until the job is done. Still, even though they play the same as everything else in the game, they can be a fun distraction.
If you liked the last game, Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 is certainly going to be for you. It is more polished, has a lot more things that you can do, and overall feels like a much more complete experience. It is the kind of game that for the right person can easily take up 100 plus hours of their time.
