Plane Mechanic Simulator

When a friend of mine was excitedly telling me all about Plane Mechanic Simulator. I could feel the glaze coming over my eyes and I was fighting the desire to yell, who the heck cares! How silly of me, while this sounds like a boring game to most folks who do not actually care for planes, Plane Mechanic Simulator is far more entertaining and ambitious than its rather vanilla name suggests.

How to Download Plane Mechanic Simulator

The game can be downloaded from Steam. If you like fixing all kinds of vehicles check out also and download Tank Mechanic Simulator or Car Mechanic Simulator 2018. All these games have one publisher: PlayWay S.A.

The Game Review

What caught my attention about this (and it was not just my buddy going on and on about it) was how there is a bit of a story to this game. You are not just an ordinary plane mechanic who works at American Airlines or something like that. This game is actually set in 1940 and you are working for the RAF and you are a key component to keeping the war effort going.

The fact that they wrapped a simulation game about fixing planes with this cool backdrop is very impressive. So not only are going to have to do general maintenance to make sure the planes are in top shape for our troops. You are going to have to repair bullet holes from dogfights and make sure the machine guns are armed and ready for battle.

Plan Mechanic Simulator has tons of things that you can do with the various planes. When I say tons I really mean it as there are hundreds and hundreds of parts to play with and get working. You may just have to do a quick job like making sure the plane has enough fuel. Or you might have to roll your sleeves up and do some serious work with the engine.

The three main planes that are in the game are the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.1, the De Havilland Tiger Moth, and the De Havilland Mosquito. I will not lie and say that these names mean anything to me, but they do look great and I am sure if you are a history and plane buff you will really appreciate the effort that they went into to make these planes look as lifelike as possible.

One of the most surprising things about Plane Mechanic Simulator for me is the fact that it has a campaign mode! This was something that came out of nowhere, but it is such a clever idea. You are teamed with a particular squadron during the war. You have your own plane and a pilot that you need to take care of.

Your pilot’s life is essential in your hands. If you make sure the plane is in top condition then he could be one of the aces of the war and you will both be seen as heroes. If you do not…. Well, he may not make it back from his next mission. Having a campaign as well as a ton of repair missions to do really does give you a lot of bang for your buck when it comes to gameplay.

Plane Mechanic Simulator is a game that offers far more than the name suggests. This is not just for plane enthusiasts as there is actually a really fun game here. I really do feel that if they changed the name this would be something way more people would be interested in. It is going to be very interesting to see how well this does. As it stands it is a fantastic game and one that is well worth looking at if you like sim-style games.
