Standoff 2 is a first-person shooter game developed and published by Axlebolt. The game was released on 19th July 2017 and is the second edition of the Standoff series. The game features different battle modes where players take part and compete with each other. The main aim of the game is for the players to shoot down their enemies using their guns in different challenges in order to win against them. The game is available to play on Android and iOS devices.

The Game Review
Starting off, the main menu displays two modes in which the game can be played: Single Player and Multiplayer mode. In the single-player mode, players can play the game without internet. Players begin by choosing a side which can either be terrorists or counter-terrorists. The two sides fight off against each other using different weapons and the last team standing wins.
Single-player mode offers three types of formats, namely Team Deathmatch, Defuse and Arms Race. In Team Death Match, the terrorists and counter-terrorists engage in a shooting contest between each other and the team with the most kills at the end of the game wins. In the defuse format, the terrorists plant bombs at specific locations after which, they try to hold off the counter-terrorists till it explodes.
Meanwhile, counter-terrorists try to defuse the bomb or take out the terrorists altogether before the bomb is even planted. Lastly, in the Arms Race, the players must perform a kill with every gun in the game and the first one to complete that process wins.
Apart from single player, Standoff 2 is also widely known because of its multiplayer gameplay which allows the players to compete together along or against their friends. The multiplayer gameplay features the same three formats but with the addition of competing with live players from around the world instead of AI.
Moving on to the game mechanics, Standoff 2 offers a wide gameplay experience compared to its predecessor. The game features a variety of guns which also includes the likes of the legendary AK-47 and the Desert Eagle Pistol.
Apart from that, the game also has five playable maps along with HUD customization. Standoff 2 also allows its players to communicate with each other in-game through voice chatting, making it easier to coordinate with teammates and in turn, come up with more effective strategies.
Standoff 2 is often compared to the famous PC game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. One of the main similarities between the games is that it equally lets the players pick from terrorists or counter-terrorists. Standoff 2 and Global Offensive also have the same skins as well the formats which feature bomb planting and defusing. The graphics are also optimized, meaning, that both the games can be easily played on old outdated devices as well.
Overall, Standoff 2 is the perfect game for those players who crave first person shooter games on mobile phones.
