Finding Nemo is an American animated film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios, directed by Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich. It was released on May 30, 2003. In 2004, the film was awarded Oscar for the best-animated feature film.

The Story
The plot of the movie centers around the search for a lost clownfish Nemo. Looking for him is his father Marlin, who has to face his fear of open waters to save his son. In his mission, he is accompanied by Dory, a bluefish who is suffering from the loss of short-term memory. Together, this unusual couple travels the ocean, meeting sharks, turtles, jellyfish, and many other sea creatures. Meanwhile, the Nemo they are looking for finds himself in an aquarium in a dental office in Sydney. There he plans his own escape together with the fish he met in the custody.
The music for the movie is performed by Thomas Newman, an American composer of film music, who has been was received an Oscar nomination for his work on Finding Nemo. This is the first soundtrack that Disney did not entrust to Randy Newman. The song promoting the film was Robbie Williams’ Beyond the Sea. Marlin’s voice was provided by Albert Brooks, while Dory’s by Ellen DeGeneres.
Finding Nemo is the fifth (after the two parts of Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, and Monsters Inc). Pixar movie created entirely with computer graphics. The production budget was $94 million, while the total revenue exceeded $900 million. In addition, the film can boast a record of DVDs sold, which by 2006 reached the number of more than 40 million copies sold.
The Computer Games Based on the Movie
In 2003, an action-adventure computer game based on the movie was also released for PC, Xbox, PlayStation 2, Game Cube and Gameboy Advance. The player assumes the role of Marlin, Nemo or Dory, and completes various levels which include cutscenes from the movie. The second part of the game was released a year later, this time only for Gameboy Advance platform. The film has received a sequel. in 2016, Walt Disney Pictures released an animation entitled Finding Dory. This time the main protagonist is the little forgetful female fish from the first movie. The film directed by Andrew Stanton was no less successful than Finding Nemo. The revenue exceeded one billion dollars.
The film is a comedy intended for the whole family. The creators included in their work many situational jokes and also references to other popular films such as Jaws, Mission: Impossible or Psycho. The production was devoted to Glenn McQueen, the animator of Pixar Animation Studios, who died of a skin cancer in October 2002.
