Iron Man 2 is a superhero action-adventure film produced by Marvel Studios and Fairview Entertainment. The film is the third edition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and was released on 26th April 2010. It is directed by Jon Favreau and features a cast consisting of Robert Downy Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Sam Rockwell, and Samuel L. Jackson.

The Game Review
The Plot
Iron Man 2 revolves around the billionaire Tony Stark who continues to use his Iron Man suit to spread peace. Meanwhile, Ivan Yanko, whose father Anton Vanko had just died, begins to build a suit that replicates the features present in Stark’s suit.
Stark becomes aware of his impending death due to the arc reactor placed in his chest which forces him to promote his current assistant, Pepper Potts, to the position of CEO. Consequently, he hires a new assistant Natalie Rushman. Vanko soon attacks Stark and although he is defeated, he manages to damage Stark’s suit and claims that he only attacked him in order to prove that the suit is not invincible.
Justin Hammer, Stark’s rival, fakes Vanko’s death thereby making him escape from prison and working for him by building him similar drones with the powers of the suit possessed by Stark. Nick Fury, director of S.H.I.E.L.D, encounters Stark and reveals to him as to how Rushman is actually Black Widow in reality.
Fury also gives Stark his father’s old material which turns out to be useful by enabling him to build a new material that, once replaced, eradicates the threat of his death.
Vanko and Hammer reveal their new armored drones at an expo but are intercepted by Stark, James Rhodes, and Black Widow.
Vanko uses Rhodes’ armor along with the rest of the drones to attack Stark in his suit after which an intense action-packed fight takes place, resulting in Vanko committing suicide by blowing up his suit along with the rest of the drones. The film ends as Fury tells Stark that S.H.I.E.L.D intends to use him as a consultant for their organization.
The Movie Production
The Marvel Cinematic Universe owes a major portion of its popularity to Iron Man 2 which had initially set up the foundation for the formation of the Avengers. In order to make the movie as unique as it is, director Jon Favreau had to become creative in his ideas. Unlike most superhero films, Favreau wanted Iron Man 2 to have somewhat of an emotional trauma to portray to the fans in the form of Stark’s impending death. Further adding to this were the elements of visual effects that approximately took 1000 shots.
Iron Man 2: the Score
Coming over to the official theme soundtrack of the film, Iron Man 2 featured a song by AC/DC which was released on 19th April 2010. A score album, composed by John Debney, was released as well on 20th July 2010.
The Bottom Line
Overall, Iron Man 2 is what really set the foundation for Marvel to go on and eventually produce hit films like Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. The film received an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects as well as managed to gross over $623 million at the box office.
