Our verdict
Pros
- The show effortlessly flips between two time periods, never confusing the audience
- Actor and actresses give impressive performances, namely the child actors
- Despite being over 10 hours long, the show remains consistently scary throughout
Cons
- Some viewers might find the subject matter and imagery too frightening to continue
- The final 10 minutes of the show are cheesy and don't align with the rest of the tone
- Those looking for a pure horror experience won't like the excess of family drama
