Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 is the third game in the horror series created by Scott Cawthon. The game was launched on March 2, 2015. The gameplay is very similar to that which characterized the previous games. Again, the main task is to survive five nights in a mysterious building infested by monstrous animatronics.

The New Story
The main distinguishing factor between Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 and the previous editions is the fact that now the game is not played in a restaurant. Now we will face the animatronics in a house of horror Fazbear’s Fright: The Horror Attraction. The story continues in 2023, 30 years after the events of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 and Five Nights at Freddy’s when the nightmares of the pizzeria are just a vague memory. The owners of the house of horror want to bring the legend back to life. They find the unused animatronics and reform them into scary attractions. The protagonist, as in the previous installments, plays the role of the night guard.
The atmosphere of the new game seems to be much darker than before. During the first night, again by means of a phone call, the hero traditionally is briefed about his duties.
We learn about the mechanics of the game which boil down to watching the security cameras which monitor the whole of the building. In contrast to the previous games, the map now encompasses two floors, which makes surviving the night all the more difficult.
There are also several new things we need to keep under control in Five Nights at Freddy’s 3. All the available systems, including the ventilation malfunction from time to time and because of that need to be restarted periodically. Lack of oxygen can bring hallucinations, which are as much terrifying as the real animatronics!
Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 – the New Animatronics
Between each night we play mini-games which reveal more of the mysterious story of the robotic toys, and the character known as Purple Guy. The real danger comes during the second night. Despite the fact that this time we will not see any of the four original animatronics, it does not mean that we will not be scared to death. The four are replaced by their nightmarish, twisted counterparts: Nightmare Freddy, Nightmare Bonnie, Nightmare Chica, and Nightmare Foxy.
During the gameplay, we also find out about two new animatronics Springtrap and Fredbear whose design is vastly different. Not only do they function as robots, but they can be also worn as costumes. Wearing them, however, is extremely dangerous, as one wrong move, a change in humidity or the air temperature may result in mutilation or death.
