KovaaK 2.0: The Meta

I know that there is a version of this software that came before (KovaaK’s FPS Aim Trainer), but this is my first experience with this kind of thing and I find it very interesting. KovaaK 2.0: The Meta is best thought of as a training tool rather than a straight-up game. If you love shooters then this is something that is actually going to make you better at them!

The Program Review

If you play a lot of shooters, which in my case is mainly Overwatch. Yet, you still find no matter how good you get, people run circles around you. Then you may very well benefit from what KovaaK 2.0: The Meta is offering. It is a two-in-one deal as you get their sandbox mode and their actual training tool both in this set.

Let’s start with the training tool. It would honestly take me forever to tell you everything about this, but I will give you a little peek. Basically, this has many different sensitivity levels of various shooters. You pick what one you want, a weapon, and so on, and then you can do these drills that will help you become better.

For me, this is as close to having a first-person shooter coach as you can possibly get which is kind of cool. I used the Overwatch settings and went through many different drills/scenarios and I must admit that after I did take much of what I learned here on board and I do feel that it did at the very least make a small improvement.

I say small improvement because this is not a one-and-done kind of thing. I think that to truly get the best out of what this is offering, dedication is the key. I have read some people spend as much as an hour a day honing their skills in this! There is no doubt in my mind that if I were to actually do that and take on board everything I was learning; I would be a better Overwatch player.

The thing is, as impressive as all this is. I am not sure I want to do that as I would actually rather just play Overwatch. While I keep bringing up Overwatch, Fortnite, Call of Duty and more are on offer here. It is just for me it made the most sense to invest my time with this in regards to Overwatch as that is what I actually play.

The other part of this package is their sandbox mode. This is kind of crazy in that it allows you to create characters, weapons, scenarios, and more! Here you can play in more “real” game scenarios which will give you a better idea of how your improved skills are shaping up. This is just the tip of the iceberg of what the sandbox mode is offering.

One thing that I found cool about the sandbox mode is the way it handles bots. You cannot just pick how many bots you will fight, but what they do, their skill level, and so on. The game also allows you to upload your own created levels/scenarios for others to check out. You can also download other people’s work too.

In all, I think that KovaaK 2.0: The Meta is a fantastic idea and a package that is very, very well put together. I am sure that if you were to put the time into the “meta” part of this package, you would become better at your chosen game. The sandbox mode is full to the brim of stuff to play around with and for me, I think that is where most of the fun would be.
