Academia: School Simulator

Today I am checking out a really interesting game, Academia: School Simulator. The best way that I can think to describe this game is that it is kind of like Prison Architect, but you are building a school. If games like that and games like Theme Park are your cup of tea, Academia: School Simulator is certainly a game that may interest you.

How to Download Academia: School Simulator

The game can be downloaded from Steam so to proceed with your download click on the button below the review. And once you have finished school perhaps you should look for a Job Simulator.

The Game Review

Academia: School Simulator is a game that sounds odd and boring, but this is one of the most addictive and fun games I have played in quite some time. At the very start of the game, you need to give your school a name and pick what your motto is. You are free to be as creative, funny, witty or even naughty as you like here.

We all remember our high school days and Academia: School Simulator tries to capture what is like for not just a high school student, but the teachers and even the janitor as well! You will need to build your school and this will require you to think before you act as you do have a budget that you must respect after all.

So while having five computer labs, lovely statues, a fully stacked Phys Ed department and the most qualified staff in the world is the ideal scenario. At first, you may have to make a few cutbacks in the way you go about running your school to make sure that the doors stay open and there are teachers to teach the kids.

Hiring teachers is a lot of fun as they each have their own personality. So not only do they have their subject that they teach and their skill level. They also have certain things that make them happy. The students are the same…. Even more so. From bullying to budding romances all of the things that teenagers go through are included in this game.

Your job as the head of this school is to not just have the kids do well in their class and graduate. You need to make sure that their emotional needs and that their happiness is as high as it can be too. It is a very delicate balancing act and there is always something for you to do. Balancing the budget is easier said than done, but eventually, you get it and then you can start to build the school of your dreams.

One other thing that Academia: School Simulator has is a sandbox mode. In this mode, you can just play around and not worry about your budget. You are free to build the most insane and over the top school the world has ever seen and I have wasted a few hours just messing around with this mode and it really was a lot of fun.

As I write this the game is still in early access so there are a few things that I would like to see added to the game. For example, some kind of punishment system or maybe some fights that need breaking up and things like that I think would be a fun addition to the game.

The folks behind the game are pretty big supporters of the modding community. While I have not tried out any kind of mods for the game. I have read that there are some great mods that while do not change gameplay let you change the way the game looks. So if you have ever wanted to run a school of zombie kids now is your chance.

Academia: School Simulator even though it is in early access is a really fun game. All the bells and whistles are not quite there yet, but what is here I really do like. For people who like games like Prison Architect and other building type games, you will really enjoy your time here. Just make sure you remember to put toilets in your school or the kids will use the bushes outside!
