I think that 60 Seconds! Reatomized should have been called 60 Seconds! The Definitive Edition. I had a lot of fun with the original and well as 60 Parsecs!, so I knew that this was going to be a riot. While some folks may turn their nose up at re-releases of games. I have to say that once you have played this, it would be very hard to go back to the original.
How to Download 60 Seconds! Reatomized
So, what is the point of the game? Well, we have four people, Dolores, Mary Jane, Ted and Timmy and they need to survive the apocalypse! Nuclear fallout is a real pain and it is even more so when you only have a short amount of time to prepare for it and then try to survive. That is the basic premise of the game and thanks to an awesome sense of humor it works very well.
The Game Review
The main game mode in 60 Seconds! Reatomized is Apocalypse Mode. Here you can play as Ted like you could in the original, but now you can also play as Dolores as well. The idea here is that you have 60 seconds to run through the house grabbing supplies before heading into your fallout shelter where you need to then deal with resource management to survive.
It is very hectic grabbing what you need and more than likely someone will die or run away the first few times you play the game! Sending people out to gather supplies and keeping people fed, happy and sane is all stuff that you have to contend with. This is a lot to take in, but thanks to the witty humor and the excellent delivery of it, even when you fail, you will laugh.
You have other modes that you can enjoy as well. Scavenge mode is all bout practicing grabbing what you can before heading into the bomb shelter. Survive mode is about being in the shelter and doing what you can to survive and experiencing different stories as you do. I really do think that they have added a fair bit of content to the game and as a result, it feels a much more complete package.
One of the main things that I noticed in 60 Seconds! Reatomized over the original is the depth. I am talking about the depth in terms of the story and the relationship between this family. It feels much more fleshed out and as a result, you tend to (depending on the kind of playthrough you are having) like or detest a family member more.
The presentation has also been kicked up a notch and there is a lot more polish to the game. Those of you with a 4K screen are going to be very happy to hear that the game does support that. You also have a lot more “things” that you can use to spruce up your shelter which helps with the overall presentation of the game.
I can hand on heart say that if you liked the original game, you will love 60 Seconds! Reatomized. It just feels like a more complete package and I really like how you can use those other game modes to practice for the main ones. It looks great, is fun to play, is challenging and it is also very, very funny.
