Farming Simulator 18 is a mobile game created by the Swiss studio GIANTS Software which specializes in the simulator genre. The game has similar mechanics to its predecessors. We play as a farmer and we have a vast 3D world at our disposal. Our goal is to grow our farm and increase the income it generates. The game was released on mobile devices with Android and iOS operating system and on the handheld consoles from Nintendo and Sony.
Farming Simulator 18 Guide
The game has no storyline which creates a lot of room for imagination. The main task is running a farm. Farming the land has been taken in the game very seriously. The process of crop growing, from potatoes to the sunflowers has been accurately reproduced.
In order to reap a plentiful harvest, one needs to do many things just like in real life situations. We need to prepare the soil for sowing and then sow the seeds and plants the crops. Farming Simulator 18 gives us the ability to control the growth of plants from sowing to the harvest. Besides the plants, we also have livestock farming. We can choose to keep the pigs and then sell them or concentrate our efforts on dairy farming. Last but not least we can cut the trees. All the agricultural elements are there, created with a lot of attention to detail.
Farming Simulator New Features
In Farming Simulator 18 we even have licensed agricultural machinery. We can find as much as 50 different machines among which there are vehicles from the companies such as Fendt, Challenger, Massey, and Valtra.
Also, a big variety of plants adds a lot the game’s realism. Taking into account that this is a mobile title, one can be really impressed with the complexity of the in-game world. The locations are quite big and detailed and in the streets, we can see real traffic. The scenery is created based on the South of the USA which makes the game feel very rural.
When compared to the previous editions of Farming Simulator a few minor changes have been introduced. We have new plants to cultivate – the sunflowers and new animals – the pigs. No real changes were made (when compared to Farming Simulator 16) to the methods of plants cultivations, animal husbandry, and woodcutting.
The big change can be found as far as the vehicles are concerned. The new highly detailed licensed machines really make a difference. Another interesting addition are the AI helpers who can travel on the machines in the designated places. There is also the multiplayer mode in a mode of local co-op for a friendly game with your peers.
