VideoPad Video Editor

With so many different video editing programs out there, it can be hard to know which one is right for you. Today, we are taking a look at the VideoPad Video Editor which is a popular piece of video editing software. This is a premium piece of software so there is no free version available for this, but that is reflected in what this offers.

The Program Review

The first thing that caught my attention about this was that it gives you a bunch of professional level video editing tools, but they are pretty easy to figure out. There are handy tutorials that will teach you the basics, but I found most of what was on offer here to be pretty intuitive.

I would say that for the average person that wants to take a video from their phone, digital camera, go pro, or even an old VHS, that this is very simple to get to grips with. As you move around the VideoPad Video Editor features, you can clearly see what each thing does. You can easily add in cool transitions and text which I would say are two of the most basic features the average Joe would want to use.

This is regarded as one of the fastest video editing programs out there. The way it works and puts all of your editing together is pretty damn awesome and you will not be waiting for ages for it to finish. I liked the way it had a dedicated audio suite as well. Granted, I just touched the basics of this, but the way you can add in sound effects, clean up the sound, and so on was pretty cool.

The VideoPad Video Editor is packed with more advanced features too. For example, you have all kinds of special effects you can use, you can even edit 3D videos, make subtitles, separate audio tracks, and a ton more. It truly is a very professional editing suite and what I thought was really neat was the way you could just start off with the basics as I did. Then through just playing around, you get more skilled and confident with your editing.

Once you have made your video, you can then decide what you want to do with it. In my case, I just kept things digital and shared the videos with my family. However, you can also burn to DVD and make physical copies too which I thought was cool. In the case of making a DVD, you can make chapters, intros and have it be very professional.

Ok, so I did say this was a “premium” piece of video editing software and now we will take a look at the cost. The Master’s Edition costs $99.99 and gives you everything it has to offer, the Home Edition, also gives you all of the features, but only allows for two audio tracks, but it does cost less at, $60. There is also a pay quarterly option available as well.

I think that the VideoPad Video Editor is a great piece of video editing software. I liked how easy it was to use, how quick it was, and the way I became more confident with my video editing as I used it. Now, the real question is if it is worth the money or not! I know there are many free video editing programs out there, but I do feel this one is not out of line with the asking price.
