Our verdict
- The story is interesting and wears its cheesy 80’s horror inspirations on its sleeve
- The atmosphere the game managed to build can quickly become unsettling as the stakes start to ramp up
- Plenty of replayability, as there are several different paths and endings that you can experience in the game
- Some deaths can feel cheap when they just come out of nowhere because of one bad decision
- There are some bugs that are quite prevalent that make the game feel unoptimized to play at times
- If you’re sick of Supermassive Games and their story-focused horror games, The Quarry does nothing new to dissuade this feeling
