I thought the Rocky Mountains would be rockier! American Truck Simulator – Colorado is the seventh DLC “state pack” (after Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho) for the awesome ATS. This time we are hauling our loads through some of the most breathtaking parts of the USA. With new cities, landmarks, and companies to tow for, this is one DLC pack fans will not want to miss out on.

The Game Review
The star of this package is the location itself. Colorado is home to the Rocky Mountains, but that is just the high tip of the iceberg here. You get to drive through the vast Great Plains as you get into a Zen-like state while driving. You can also drive along the majestic, but also very dangerous Million Dollar Highway too.
It is not just the scenic parts of the state that make this such a great place to be a truck driver. You will also get to make your way through major cities like Denver and Colorado Springs. There are a ton of locations that you can drive for and miles and miles of highway that is very diverse and full of things that will catch your eye.
If you are someone who plays these games and loves checking out the landmarks, you are in for a real treat. The viewpoint feature that the game has lets you capture some of these locations and just see how much detail was put into their digital recreations. I am sure this along with the new batch of achievements the game has will make things even more addicting for players.
You will be hauling many different kinds of loads, but what is cool is how they have used industries that Colorado is known for. For example, you get to work with a gold mine, various agriculture businesses, and even Denver airport! So, you do have a lot of variety to the types of things you will be hauling around.
As far as the presentation of American Truck Simulator – Colorado, it is right in line with the games that came before it such as Arizona and Oregon. The game looks fantastic and I appreciate how much effort they go to in order to make the little details seem as real as possible.
The gameplay on offer here is excellent. I say that, but the truth is it is great if you are a fan of the series. Nothing new has actually been changed as far as the gameplay goes and as this is DLC, that is to be expected. However, this does mean that if ATS is a series that has never really done it for you before, this Colorado DLC is probably not going to change your mind.
I am not sure that I would say that American Truck Simulator – Colorado is the best bit of DLC they have produced yet, but it is still a fun time. This is a wonderful place to drive, and it is a great place for you to test your virtual trucking skills. If you enjoy the series, you are going to enjoy this!
