The Game Review
Originally released on the 1st March 2017, Ragnarok M: Eternal Love is developed by Gravity, a team known for previous Ragnarok games, such as Ragnarok Online 1 and 2. While it isn’t designed to be exactly like Ragnarok Online, a lot of the same mythos can be found around the world.
The Story
Starting with the story, the land of Ragnarok M: Eternal Love has been practically destroyed and made unrecognizable with the constant wars. In this world, the Old-World Tree has been burned to the ground, causing a great disturbance in the world, but soon enough a new one was reborn.
Despite this, the world is still at constant turmoil with regular catastrophes cropping up all around the world and to help deal with these constant problems is where you come in, in the shape of a hero!
The Gameplay
Gameplay is that of your typical hot-bar MMORPG, with a few changes here and there. When it comes to the combat, you walk up to a nearby enemy, tap on the attack button and then allow your character to proceed to attack them automatically until one of your dies.
To keep things more interesting, you’re free to roam around the immediate area as you please to try and dodge attacks as best you can. With all of your abilities available to you on the hot-bar, you simply have to tap on the one you wish to use whenever you feel is most appropriate until the same thing happens again – when one of you dies.
Ragnarok M: Eternal Love End-Game
Outside of combat, you’ll find yourself picking up a number of different quests, many of which are fairly simple and don’t require much effort on your part. To keep you slowly progressing towards the end-game, many of the gear you find for your character can be regularly upgraded to make your favorite character and their equipment that much stronger until you finally get a new, decent piece of gear.
End-game raids and dungeons are also a major part of the game and will regularly have you teaming up with plenty of other players to deal an exponential amount of damage to defeat every enemy that threatens the team.
Similar Titles
In terms of comparisons, the game is designed to be like the classic Ragnarok Online, while combining those ideas with popular mobile MMORPGs. With these designs, it makes the game more accessible on a platform that isn’t necessarily ideal for everyone.
